Abstract: At present the need for alternative energy as an energy source is increasing every year along with the decline in oil and coal supplies and the increasing world energy demand. One alternative energy that can be used to replace oil and coal is LNG (liquefied natural gas). To support and increase the use of LNG as an alternative, special facilities such as the special jetty of LNG are needed. At present there are two standards commonly used for the port/berth design process, namely the Overseas Coastal Development Institute of Japan (OCDI) standard and the British Standard BS). There are 3 main differences between OCDI and BS standards, namely the determination of lay out and dimensions, calculation of berthing loads, and calculation of mooring load. The scope of design consists of determining the dimensions of the pier based on OCDI and BS standards, calculation of loads that work based on OCDI and BS standards, structural modeling, structural reinforcement design, calculation of carrying capacity of the soil, calculation of the volume of material which includes concrete, steel, and piles , as well as an analysis of the calculation of the pier structure material costs based on OCDI and BS standards. Structural modeling is done using SAP2000 software. The results of the modeling are the UCR value, deflection, internal forces, and placement reactions. UCR value and deflection obtained from the results of structural modeling must meet the specified requirements. the obtained internal force values will be used to design the pier element reinforcement, and the placement reaction will be used to determine the depth of the pile, as well as the dimensions of the structural elements used to calculate the volume and material costs.
